Hi Mike
So, will Geraldton make it onto your map?
How is everyone in Windsor and London?
A few weeks ago, Geraldton's bantam boys (16 and under) won the
provincial championship for the second year in a row, not bad
for a small town! This year was a new team: Jay was the skip
and Matt joined the team as the lead.

In the fall, Jay plays off against a team from Richmond Hill.
The winner advances to the national Under-18 championship next
winter. The boys are at the club at least 5 days a week. Some
days, they meet without a coach and simply throw rocks for an
hour. Jay's high school team came second in the province in St.
Catherine's a couple of weeks ago, he is the vice on that team
with the skip from last year's provincial champs as the skip.

That same team will be together next year. I believe that
a girls curling team from Kirkland Lake advanced fairly far this
year. Jay was talking about spending time with them in Sudbury.
Since November, I have been working as the coordinator, running
the LAC. Almost 50% of the workforce here is out of work. I had
to take a layoff from my job along with many other key staff
to free up funds to pay our bills in order to keep the company
going. (redacted sentences)
The best email to use for me is my personal one : jim.turner807@gmail.com.
I only check my GCF email every couple of weeks.
Regards
Jim
